Residential Service

Residential Services are provided 24 hours a day, 7 days/week.

The Residential Service provides an environment in which students are encouraged to become as self-reliant as possible. Each student works toward the achievement of his/her own personal goals. The focus is on both the family and the student and is reality-based. Both physical and emotional needs are recognized as important components.

The Residential Service philosophy is to help each student grow and reach his/her maximum level of functioning, to help each student gain an increased awareness of his/her own needs and behaviors, and to encourage each student to find new ways of responding to environmental stressors.

The main program areas include: Daily Living Skills (personal care), Independent Living Skills, Counseling (individual and group), and Leisure Activities (structured and non-structured). The Residential Care Workers recognize that the students are individuals who have the need and right to reach the highest quality of life that is possible for them.
